SAVANNAH, GA –
For the next week, Savannah is hosting a very special group of young people trying to make a difference in our community.
Armed with paint brushes, sanders and their bibles, they are heading in to low income neighborhoods to fix up homes for those who need it.
The “World Changers” program has been coming to Savannah for the last twenty years. The need for this type of service here in Savannah has grown so much; there are more than 400 teens here this year to help.
They say they hope to show people that you can make an impact no matter how old you are.
World Changers partners with city of Savannah’s Community Development and Housing Association to find the homes in need. There will be 34 sites around town this week.
