Several hundred Woodstock High School students and parents attended Thursday’s Business Expo put on by Woodstock’s downtown business owners.

The event brought local business owners face-to-face with potential parttime employees and open the eyes of students to the array of shops and stores outside the local malls, said Kyle Bennett, operations director of Woodstock’s tourism program.

The Main Street Woodstock business development program hosted the event for the second year and this year’s turnout increased , Bennett said .

“I bet the seniors at our local High Schools probably have no idea  what is going on here or how much fun they could have at our events,” Mitzi Saxon wrote in the July issue of the Main Street Woodstock INSIDER.
