A Weaver Middle School music teacher charged with sexually assaulting a student is free on a $49,700 bond, jail records show.
Samuel McPhee Jr., 23, of Macon, posted bond at 5:44 p.m. Friday, according to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Centers online inmate information system.
As part of part of his conditions for bond, McPhee include may not contact the student involved, he cant go on school grounds, and he must stay away from youths under age 16. Bibb County Magistrate Jane Reeves also prohibited McPhee from possessing dangerous weapons or firearms. An attorney who represented McPhee at the bond hearing Wednesday declined to comment.
