Few political stones remained unturned Tuesday as the three men vying to represent most of Paulding County in the State Senate next year answered questions on topics such as the upcoming TSPLOST vote, proposals to get rid of the state income tax and the potential to allow casino gambling in Georgia.
The Paulding County Chamber of Commerce was the site Tuesday night of a debate focusing on the race for the District 31 Senate seat. All three men vying for the job—Bill Carruth, incumbent Bill Heath and J.K. Rogers—were in attendance to answer questions from the Paulding County Republican Women’s Club, which sponsored the event, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Jim Galloway, who served as the moderator.
We covered last night’s event live, and here, we’ve brought you each candidate’s opening and closing remarks.
