Hundreds of local needy children could go home with a bicycle or tricycle this Christmas if an event this weekend is successful.
Paulding Meadows this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will play host to the inaugural “Spokes for Little Folks” motorcycle show. Attendance is free, but those who hope to display their ride in one of the five motorcycle classes must pay a $5 entry fee.
The event also will feature a 50/50 raffle, other raffles, food sales and more.
Proceeds from the event will help the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and the Paulding County Shrine Club put on this year’s “Spokes for Little Folks” campaign. Last year, the program gave out more than 250 bikes to local needy children, and organizers hope to increase that output this December.
