Little more than a week after a DeKalb County man was carjacked at gunpoint in his driveway, five men stole an Ormewood Park man’s car at gunpoint Saturday afternoon.
Hours later, a Fulton County police officer shot a suspected carjacker in his buttocks after a high-speed chase that ended at the Fulton and Clayton County line, 11Alive News reported.
The suspect whom the officer shot, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment, the news station reported. Two other carjacking suspects in the car — a black Honda — ran and remain at large.
It’s unclear if the carjacking suspect police shot was invloved in the Ormewood Park incident or is a suspect in a different case.
Atlanta police did not immediately respond to a request seeking comment, but the Ormewood Park incident occurred at the corner of Woodland Avenue and Mercer Street around
