SAVANNAH, GA –
We now know the identity of the woman critically injured after being struck by a car late Thursday night.
23 year old Crystal Rax-ba was transported to Memorial University Medical Center after she was injured while walking in a turn lane of Highway 17 about 11:30 p.m.
Investigators say 18 year old Glenn Sams was driving northbound on Highway 17 when he moved over to the right turn lane to enter Highway 204 and struck the woman in the middle of the lane.
Officers with the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department continue to investigate the incident.
