UPDATE (2:18 p.m.): Zone 2 Commander Maj. Van Hobbs told the AJC the victim had been meeting someone at the apartment complex to sell a handgun when something went wrong during the transaction. A man fitting the description of the person the victim was meeting was located and questioned, resulting in his arrest on an outstanding warrant.
Atlanta police are investigating a shooting that occurred at a Buckhead apartment complex on Wednesday.
The AJC is reporting that the victim was shot at the Darlington Apartments, 2025 Peachtree Rd NE Atlanta
He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. His condition is unknown, although police say he was alert, conscious and breathing at the time of transport.
