Two home burglaries were reported in Morningside on Monday.
No valuable items were taken and no one was injured in either incident, according to police reports.
Around 1:30 p.m., police were called to the 1600 block of Barclay Place.
The rear window was pried open, but owners said nothing was missing.
Video tapes from the home security camera outside the house showed a man attempting to climb through the window, but he was too big to fit. Police described him as 6-feet-tall and about 220 pounds.
The second robbery was reported on the 600 block of Sherwood Road at the home of city councilman Alex Wan around 12:48 p.m.
Only a $10 bottle of wine was taken from the house.
“We can’t determine anything that they took, except for a bottle of cheap white wine,” Wan told Project Q. “Nothing of note was taken, the dogs were not harmed. It was very weird.”
