Neither Austell nor Mableton have seen much development as of late, but the development that has come in has been quite innovative, like Riverview Landing.
Each year the Atlanta Regional Commission, in partnership with the Livable Communities Coalition (LCC), honors trend-setting developments in the Atlanta region with the Developments of Excellence (DOE) Awards. Past winners have been honored for exemplifying urban revitalization, transit accessibility, affordable housing, conservation and sustainability.
Nominations are now being accepted for this prestigious award and are encouraged from developers, builders, private, public and nonprofit entities for their recently completed or nearly complete projects.
