Senator Jack Murphy this week announced his re-election bid for a fourth term in the race for State Senate District 27 in Forsyth County, according to a news release.
Murphy also welcomed newcomer Steve Voshall to the race. Voshall, the chair of the Forsyth County Tea Party, announced his candidacy for state Senate on May 13.
“America is the greatest county on the planet because of our constitutionally protected freedoms,” Murphy said. “One of those treasured freedoms is the right to vote and the right to run for office. So I welcome my opponent to the race for state Senate and look forward to a spirited campaign.”
