Sandy Springs Assistant City Manager Eden Freeman has been elected to represent the Southern Region on the Board of Directors for the National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA). The organization represents state, territorial, tribal and local government on crime prevention and public safety issues.

“It is a tremendous honor to have been elected to the NCJA Board, and I look forward to working with my fellow board members, staff and professionals from around the country as we address the many challenges facing the criminal justice system,” said Freeman, in the annoucement.

NCJA is a national voice in shaping and implementing criminal justice policy since its founding in 1971. The organization works to promote a balanced approach to communities’ complex public safety and criminal and juvenile justice system problems, and works
