Rob Goodman of Roswell has announced his candidacy for the Fulton County School Board, District 1, challenging Linda Schultz who has held the seat for the past eight years.

Goodman is a decorated Vietnam War combat pilot and a retired Captain of Delta Air Lines. He and his wife have lived in Roswell for 28 years. During those years, he has had three children educated through Fulton County Schools at what were some of the best public education facilities in the country, at the time.

He strongly supported family involvement in the schools and in 1986, began serving as a PTA volunteer at Mt. Park Elementary School. Subsequently, he served on and chaired the Local School Advisory Boards (LSAC) at Crabapple Middle School
