In an awards ceremony honoring many seniors for their scholastic, athletic, artistic, and leadership achievements, four students won Parent Teacher Student Association awards.
Each received $1,000 and was chosen through a committee of teachers and counselors who reviewed both financial need and an essay the students wrote. The awards were given to Djenne Nizam, Kara Wexler, Nicole Bills and Valheria Rocha.
Approximately 47 percent of the seniors were recognized as “honor graduates” signifying each had cumulative averages of 88 or higher on the 100 point scale.
More than half of the senior class was recognized for their additional coursework which qualified them to receive the International Studies Magnet Seal on their diploma. Additionally, 40 seniors were recognized for pursuing the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.
