Restaurants serving up samples of some signature dishes at the 22nd Annual Taste of Alpharetta on Thursday, May 10, will be competing not only to please local residents’ taste buds. They’ll also put their food up against each other in the Culinary Competition.

More than 20 of 52 participating restaurants will compete on the Culinary Competition Stage on Roswell Street. The city’s Special Events staff says the public is invited to watch as local chefs prepare their best dishes in the Culinary Arts Kitchen.  The competitions will heat-up between 5 and 7 p.m., with the final Taste of Alpharetta Culinary Awards presented at 8:10 p.m. at the Music Stage on Milton Avenue.

Culinary Judges will be Tom Maicon, Atlanta Cuisine on Tap editor; Helen Cauley, a freelance restaurant writer who contributes to the AJC, Sunday Paper and Atlanta Now Magazine; and Ashley Brooke, Whole
