Stanlee Stahl, executive vice president of The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous, will be keynote speaker at the closing ceremony of Am Yisrael Chai’s “Rescuers of the Holocaust” event, at Congregation Beth Tefillah, Thursday.
Am Yisrael Chai is a non-profit Holocaust education and awareness organization. The event is the culmination of Am Yisrael Chai’s annual commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day. This year focused on the topic of ‘Rescue’ and featured keynote speakers Pierre Sauvage and Renee Kann Silver, as well as The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous traveling exhibit “Whoever Saves a Single Life…Rescuers of Jews During the Holocaust.”
A press announcement said, the exhibit showcases some of those rare – but exceedingly important – instances where people fought to safeguard their Jewish fellow citizens during the Holocaust. In a time of overwhelming death and destruction, rescuers did not stand by silently.
