Police say the woman seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Smyrna Wednesday is still recovering from her injuries at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
Megan Smith, 25, of Powder Springs, was traveling westbound on her Suzuki sport bike on Windy Hill Road when she turned into a parking lot just east of Belmont Circle and clipped the bumper of a Toyota Corolla. She was wearing a helmet.
“It appears she was ejected, but I can’t confirm that,” Smyrna police Officer Robert Harvey said at the scene. “I don’t have any evidence that she was.”
Harvey said the bike had a “violent” rollover of about 60 feet.
Smyrna Officer Michael Smith said today: “She’s still at Kennestone with a busted leg and deep lacerations to her shoulder. She’s banged up, but to my knowledge, she’s expected to make a full or near-full recovery.”
The accident shut down Windy Hill’s westbound
