Old-fashioned sailing vessels are lining the Savannah riverfront this weekend for the Tall Ships Challenge. Visitors can tour some of the ships and even take sailing excursions. There’s also food, entertainment and, of course, pirates.
Tickets for the event are $25 for adults and $12 for kids 5-16. Admission is free to children 4 and under.
Check out Fort Stewart Patch tomorrow for a story about the USCG Eagle, a Coast Guard ship that’s part of the festival, and the only square-rigger government vessel in active service.
