A man was airlifted to Kennestone Hospital after being shot twice during an altercation at a home on Maple Drive in Cartersville.

According to a news release from the Cartersville Police Department, Tony Collum, 44, went to the residence at 110 Maple Drive to confront someone there about an individual taking his daughter to buy drugs. At some point, Collum and the homeowner, 53-year-old Mark Alan Harris, got into a physical altercation, during which the victim was shot three at close range with a .32 caliber handgun, twice in the left shoulder and chest area, and once in the buttocks.

Harris was on scene when police arrived and was taken into custody. Two other subjects at the residence were detained for questioning. No other names have been released.
