Pedestrians diverted to temporary sidewalk in Ashford-Dunwoody area
As construction of the Diverging-Diamond Interchange (DDI) at Ashford Dunwoody Road and I-285 continues, removal of existing sidewalks on the Ashford Dunwoody Road Bridge is currently under way. Beginning today, April 24, pedestrians must use the temporary sidewalk on the east side of the bridge (the same side as the Crowne Plaza Ravinia Hotel and Ravinia corporate campus) until further notice.
The Ashford Dunwoody at I-285 DDI project, which was initiated by the Perimeter Community Improvement Districts, is the first DDI in Georgia and is an effort toward a low-cost solution to improve traffic flow and safety.
