SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) –
Internationally-known composer and musician Yanni and his orchestra brought their show to the Savannah Civic Center Wednesday night.
The concert is part of Yanni’s North American tour. He performed some of his classic songs and pieces from his new album.
Before the show, Yanni met with Chatham County Commission Chairman Pete Liakakis.
Chairman Liakakis presented Yanni with a special honor, a key to the county, because of his work in support of the World Wildlife Fund and their quest to help animals around the globe.
“I’m very touched, especially the words that he used were amazing. I am very flattered. No one can live up what he just described me as being. But I’ve been all over the world. I’m very touched. Savannah is a great place, and you’re going to keep seeing me coming back,” said
