MetLife announced Thursday that it has agreed to purchase Reynolds Plantation, the golf and resort community on Lake Oconee.
The acquisition will include the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, six golf courses, four marinas and nearly 5,000 acres of undeveloped golf and waterfront property, according to a release from MetLife.
The purchase price was not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close during the summer.
MetLife is hiring Daniel Corp. to oversee all day-to-day operations at Reynolds Plantation. Their projects include joint venture ownership of 12th Midtown, a multiblock development along Peachtree Street in Atlanta.
Ritz-Carlton will continue to manage the hotel under its long-term management agreement.
