Man Arrested for Heroin Possession
On July 1 two Johns Creek Police officers were patrolling a parking lot on Nesbit Ferry Road on foot when they saw a vehicle parked in the rear of the lot away from the business fronts.
They observed a man in the driver’s seat leaning over the center console doing something with his hands. As the officers approached the vehicle, they observed the man with a hypodermic needle in his right hand and taking a belt off his left arm while preparing to inject himself.
One of the officers opened the drivers side door and ordered the man to drop the needle, exit his vehicle and lay on the ground.
The man stated that he was sorry, that he had stopped in the lot so he could inject heroin as he had been high since the prior day and was starting to feel sick. He stated that he was on his way back from the East Atlanta area, where he had purchased $35 worth of the drug.
The man was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, and transported to the Alpharetta jail.
Man Arrested for Ecstasy, Marijuana Possession
On July 1 Johns Creek Police officers who were conduction a DUI checkpoint on State Bridge Road encountered a black BMW from which the officers could smell fresh marijuana.
One of the officers had the male driver pull off to the side for further investigation. The officer located the marijuana in the center console, and inside the glove compartment found a prescription bottle containing more loose marijuana and five clear capsules filled with a clear/white crystal-like substance.
The man said the capsules contained individual servings of “ecstasy.”
The man was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for the marijuana possession and a felony for the ecstasy. He was transported to the Alpharetta jail.
