Citizens can meet police officers, firefighters and paramedics who serve Sandy Springs during the annual National Night Out event, Monday evening.

The free event will be held from 6-8 p.m., at Hammond Park.

Police cars, fire trucks and emergency vehicles will be displayed for an up close look. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and beverages will be served, and Mac the clown, will make an appearance.

Parking will be available in the Glenridge Road and Hammond Park lots.

“National Night Out” started in 1984. Last year, 37 million people, across all 50 states, participated in this event in their own communities.
