Fulton County crews fixed a water main break in less than an hour this afternoon, avoiding any traffic mess that could have resulted.
The break was reported to the public just before 4 p.m., and Fulton County spokesman Bob Giordano said it was fixed in a hurry. The outage was approximately from Mayfield Circle on Mayfield Road to Hwy 9 and parts of Canton Street starting at Church Street.
Crews were already on site when the county notified the public of the break.
So if you got back home and found a bit of muddy looking water coming through your pipes for a little bit, now you know why.
