Shane Rainwater, 36, of Acworth, has been charged with reckless driving, speeding and two counts of failure to stop at a stop sign and not wearing a seatbelt after driving his car through a house on May 6.
Rainwater drove drove a Honda through a split-level house on Cedar Mill Crossing, near Kellogg Creek Road.
Traffic investigators said Rainwater was traveling more than 70 mph in a 25 mph zone, according to a press release.
Rainwater has been released from the hospital, but is still recovering from his injuries. He will not be arrested until he is better.
