A Winder resident called police May 6 to report being threatened with a pistol after asking a stranger for directions.
The reported incident occurred about 3:30 p.m. at the Barrow County Health Department, and the complainant told an officer with the Winder Police Department that he had asked an unknown white male for directions. The complainant said the stranger then pulled a pistol out of his holster and responded, “No I don’t have directions.”
The complainant then said he left the health department to call police. When an officer arrived, the suspect had departed.
