Shane Rainwater of Acworth is the man who drove his car through a house Monday afternoon, the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office announced.
Rainwater’s injuries, although critical, were not life-threatening, Lt. Jay Baker said in a news release.
The investigation remains under investigation, but nothing at the scene indicated Rainwater was impaired.
Charges are coming, Baker said.

A 36-year-old man drove a Honda through a split-level house on Cedar Mill Crossing, near Kellogg Creek Road, around 1:30 Monday afternoon.
Cherokee County firefighters found that the car had gone through the garage door and exited through the wall on the opposite side, according to a press release.
The driver of the car had multiple lacerations and abrasions, a possible broken or dislocated hip resulting in internal bleeding, and altered levels of consciousness, the release said.
He was taken to Marietta’s WellStar Kennestone Hospital in stable but critical condition.
