A Cartersville woman was arrested Thursday morning, April 26, and charged with two felonies after she allegedly struck a child younger than 18, causing “excessive physical or mental pain” and leaving bodily bruises on the child on March 29 at a residence on East Second Street in Lindale, according to a Floyd County Jail report.
According to the report:
Angela Ann McCord, 34, of 162 Two Run Crossing, was charged with felony cruelty to children and battery. Police reported the child had three looped bruises on the left abdominal side, and red and purple marks around the neck.
She remained in jail Thursday night with no set bail.
