The North Georgia Chapter of the Police Benevolent Association (PBA) of Georgia endorses Duane Piper, who is running for Forsyth County Sheriff.
“PBA is proud to support the candidacy of Duane Piper, and we look forward to working with him to support law enforcement officers in Forsyth County,” stated John Dawson, North Georgia Chapter president, in the press release.
On June 30, the North Georgia Chapter of the PBA of Georgia held a political screening of the candidates for sheriff. The screening committee members scored candidates based on their responses to questions which focused on progressive changes to meet the challenges of a dynamic environment, budget and funding, and how the candidates will work with the association to help improve the law enforcement community.
After hearing responses from all the candidates, the committee debated the merits of the candidates. At the conclusion of the debate,
