Former Lakeside swimming standout Jack Lane finished the 2012 NCAA swim season at Stanford University by capturing a pair of All-America honors in relay competition.

Lane swam the third leg on Stanford’s 400 medley relay and 200 medley relay teams in the 2012 NCAA Championships, helping the team to a fourth-place finish in the 400 and fifth in the 200, giving the team All-American status. The 400 medley relay (3:07.32) also captured the Pac-12 championship.

Lane, who won four gold medals (two in 2009, two in 2011) in state swimming competition, set the 13th best time in Stanford history in the 100 butterfly event with a time of 46.88 in 2012.

The freshman also finished 32nd nationally in the 200 butterfly and 29th in the 200 individual medley event. He swam a 1:46.98 to take sixth in the 200 fly during the Pac-12 Championships.
