David Johnson, the owner of the Kirkwood Bar Grill has had his tinted windows case rescheduled for the third time.
Johnson’s attorney, Alan I. Begner, asked for the hearing to be rescheduled because Johnson’s father, who lives in California, is dying.
Atlanta Municipal Court before Chief Judge Crystal A. Gaines rescheduled the hearing to May.
In February, Johnson had the case rescheduled to March 12 because he said Begner could not attend the proceeding.
The case centers on Johnson’s use of reflective tinting in the windows of the bar at 1963 Hosea L. Williams Dr. NE.
Neighbors say it violates city codes regulating commercial districts because reflective tint doesn’t allow a view of what’s going on inside.
