KENNESAW — Two Kennesaw parents remain in the Cobb County Jail on charges of leaving their young children at home alone while they attended a party nearby.
Sean Wayne Grussing, 23, and Courtney Rene Tench, 18, were both arrested June 29 on two counts of misdemeanor contributing to the deprivation of a minor. Tench was also charged with one count of misdemeanor possession or purchase of alcohol by a minor.
They remain in the Cobb County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
Officer Scott Luther with Kennesaw Police said an officer was leaving the Old South Village Mobile Home Park in the 2600 block of South Main Street in Kennesaw when he saw a 22-month-old child standing in the middle of the road.
