A new principal for Kell High School is among the items the Cobb Board of Education will be discussing Wednesday at its June work session.
Dr. Trudie Donovan, the Kell principal for the last six years, announced Friday she was retiring in the wake of what Cobb school superintendent Michael Hinojosa referred to as a personnel issue related to a “student reporting” matter.
The school board also will discuss a number of other personnel decisions, including a new principal for Hightower Trail Middle School in East Cobb. Current principal Dr. Hilda Wilkins is retiring effective July 1.
So is David Addison, the school system’s chief financial officer, who has proposed signficant spending and staff reductions to balance the district’s budget, including a $72 million deficit for the fiscal year 2013 that begins next month.
