The Jamerson Road/Wigley Road construction project continues this week with periodic lane closures expected from Canton Road to Sandy Plains Road, Cobb County Commissioner JoAnn Birrell reported in her email update to her District 3 constituents.
After paving at the Trickum Road intersection and the stretch from Elnora Court to Sandy Plains Road over the weekend, Northeast Cobb drivers can expect the following work from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, with at least one travel lane remaining open at all times:
- Canton Road to Trickum Road—The contractor is placing the final striping and installing road signs.
- Trickum Road to Jims Road—The contractor is paving the asphalt. Traffic delays are likely.
- Jims Road to Sandy Plains Road—The contractor is grading, placing the rock base and working on wall construction.
