Lilburn Police Department are looking for the person or persons responsible for a an Aug. 9 theft, similar to scams it recently warned the public about.
The female victim reported that she had just left the Georgia’s Own Credit Union about 4:30 p.m., when she withdrew approximately $1,000. It was raining heavily, so the woman stated that she waited in her car for the rain to let up, according to a police report.
While in the car, a man in in grey, four-door pickup truck rolled his window down and asked her if he could follow her to make sure she got to her destination safely, according to a police report. The woman said she was fine, and just waiting for the rain to pass.
