The second annual ‘Cars for Canines and the debut of the ‘Georgia Horse Derby Celebration’ are both happening Sunday, May 6 to benefit Save the Horses farm in northwest Forsyth County.
For those of you interested in cars and dogs, the ‘Cars for Canines’ is from noon until 4 p.m. in the parking lot at Rucker Pet and Wild Bird store in Cumming.
The fun and festivities include the car show featuring more than 30 “high-end” cars, including several Mercedes and Corvetts, two Maseratis, a Lamborghini, two Jaguars, vintage T-Birds and others, according to Mary Jo Mitchell.
She and her husband, James, are part of the Mercedes Club and organizers of the car show.
“Most of them are classic cars,” said Mitchell.
In addition to the fancy cars, there will be a silent auction, great food, dog and puppy adoptions by the Canine Adoption Network
