SAVANNAH, G.A. –
Next week will mark the 66th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
In honor of our veterans, a special ceremony took place at the new Savannah WWII Monument to pay tribute those that courageously fought for our freedoms.
News 3’s Meredith Ley was there as many of our heroes took a trip down memory lane.
These are the members of our greatest generation- every day, there are fewer
of these heroic men and women -this ceremony was a chance to give them the honor they deserve.
