Out of 103 institutions recently named to The Chronicle of Higher Education’s 2012 “Great Colleges to Work For” list, Georgia Tech was the only one from the state to be included.
The Georgia Institute of Technology, which has been named to the list for four consecutive years, was recognized in three out of 12 categories: collaborative governance; confidence in senior leadership; and facilities, workspace and security.
The assessment involved a questionnaire about institutional characteristics coupled with a faculty and staff questionnaire about individuals’ evaluations of their institutions. It also included an analysis of demographic data and workplace policies, including benefits, at each participating college. The questionnaires were administered online in March and April.
