The Dunwoody City Council took another step forward in the redevelopment of the so-called “Project Renaissance” Monday night, according to Heneghan’s Dunwoody Blog.
Council members could have voted not to follow through with the city’s option to purchase land in the Georgetown area, but chose to move forward.
Heneghan, who is a member of the city council, noted on his blog post that the city received two redevelopment proposals for the proposed redevelopment of 35 acres.
City leaders envision a redevelopment effort that would bring parks and trails, low-density residential and small neighborhood commercial facilities at the city’s eastern gateway.
