This year’s graduating class from Gwinnett County Public Schools is larger than ever with 2,050 Honor Graduates posting a grade percent average of 90 or better. GCPS CEO/Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks, says, “As a community, we can be proud of these students and what they have achieved during their academic careers.”
Brookwood High will graduate their largest class to date with 779 students. Peachtree Ridge High has 757 graduates and Mill Creek High has 714. Gwinnett County Online Campus, which opened as a full time charter school during 2012-2013 has 12 students representing their first graduation class.
Reporting that 86% of this year’s graduates plan to continue their education, there has been more than $101 million in academic, athletic and military scholarships, not including the HOPE or Gates Millennium scholarship monies.
