Home Alone Policy Revised
The Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield “Home Alone” policy for children has been revised. The policy impacts families who have children who will attend Fort Stewart schools when the new school year starts Aug. 6. Students under 12 will require parental or adult supervision (within sight and close enough for immediate response) at all times when walking to and from school. Children 5 and under may not be left alone at any time.
School Age Services offers after-school programs to assist working parents. To register your children, contact the Child, Youth and School Services Parent Central Services office at 912-767-2312 on Fort Stewart or 912-315-5425 on Hunter. For more information
