Welcome to Thursday. Here are some things to know today.
The weather: Sunshine once again, but the high will only be about 77 degrees, the National Weather Service says. Enjoy it while it lasts. The low tonight will hover around a brisk 52 degrees.
Gas prices are little changed. The lowest in Lilburn reported to www.georgiagasprices.com for Wednesday was $3.48 (at QuikTrip, 4900 Stone Mountain Hwy near Stone Drive), and the highest was $3.59 (at Shell, 722 Harbins Road at Dickens Road, and at two other places).
Stars: The modern planetarium was made possible by the German optical firm Carl Zeiss in 1923 when it developed a projector whose lenses could accurately reproduce the night sky inside a domed room. The first public planetarium was opened just seven years later and remains a major astronomy education center today: Article source: http://lilburn.patch.com/articles/five-things-to-know-today-may-10-3cf919db
