Fire destroyed the home at 3146 Highpoint Drive in Macon just before midnight Wednesday.
Macon-Bibb firefighters responded to the fire at around 11:30pm Tuesday and had the blaze contained by about 12:30 am Wednesday.
According to Battalion Chief Preston Thomas, Jr., no one was home at the time of the fire.
Macon-Bibb Fire Department Arson Investigator Tom Musselwhite was on the scene of the fire after 1am. He did not give an explanation for the fire’s origin at that time.
