EFFINGHAM, Ga. –
A motorcyclist who was killed Friday morning in a crash on Old River Road in Effingham has been identified as Norman Harley Davis, 32, of Rincon, according to Effingham County Coroner David Exley.
Shortly before 8 am, Davis was traveling south on Old River Road at a high rate of speed when he struck a Honda Pilot which was turning into the Stonegate subdivision. According to witnesses, Davis was attempting to pass the Honda at a high rate of speed in a no passing zone. David was pronounced dead on the scene.
There were no other injuries reported.
