With the Fourth of July weekend just around the corner, many people are planning to travel out of town. Some that weren’t planning to when gas was close to $4.00 a tank, have changed their minds.

According to the AAA Fuel Gauge report, the national average for a gallon of regular gas is no $3.39, down from $3.64 a month ago. The average price in Georgia is $3.152 and is still continuing to drop.

The rapid fall of prices is due to several factors combined. The price of a barrel of oil has fallen and the demand for gasoline has fallen. Many experts are predicting that gas could drop another 50 cents by Halloween.
