Alpharetta police didn’t have to stop a 33-year-old Duluth man’s vehicle to take him into custody on a probation violation warrant out of Duluth. His car broke down at the intersection of North Point Parkway and Kimball Bridge Road.
An Alpharetta officer spotted the suspect’s car on June 5 at 9:29 a.m. at the intersection, and stopped to help out. The vehicle’s license plate was checked and the officer discovered the owner was wanted on the probation violation. An incident report states that the suspect tried to swing his arms to get released by the officer, and both men ended up on the ground. Once he was handcuffed, the suspect became compliant.
