Last week Brandon Burrows was ready to leave the University of Georgia, citing a lack of playing time and a desire to play defensive end, the position where he starred at Walton High School.
Now, the former Raiders player is back in Athens, reinstated by the Georgia Bulldogs, and grateful to have another chance to prove his worth.
Burrows announced Monday he had changed his mind about leaving.
But what changed his mind?
A phone call from Georgia recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner, for starters. But Burrows admitted to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution he had some misgivings about his decision before his cellphone rang:
“That’s like my second family over there and one thing led to another. . . It was a hasty decision and I just need to focus on getting ready for camp and doing the Dawg thing.”
