Here are a few Easter weekend events in Buckhead.
The annual community Good Friday service is noon Friday at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.
Peachtree Presbyterian Church is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt for youngsters from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chastain Park playground. A Chick-fil-a lunch will be served. The donation is $5.
The Cathedral of Christ the King will have its second annual Easter sunrise service in its greenspace beginning at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, according to its web page. Parishioners may bring lawn chairs if they would like to sit during the service. In the case of inclement weather, Mass will take place in the Hyland Center.
Dr. David Sapp, longtime senior pastor at Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, will preach his final Sunday on Easter before retiring. His message will be “A Strange Response
