SAVANNAH, GA –
We all know the three R’s; reduce, reuse and recycle. But to celebrate this year’s Earth Day, the city of Savannah wants everyone to learn a new mantra…”Save, Recycle and Grow.”
More than 100 vendors packed Forsyth Park to celebrate all things green.
Festival-goers took advantage of free educational workshops on thing like gardening, bee keeping and green energy.
But for little ones, the most popular booths were those displaying our four legged friends. Organizers say earth day should be celebrated every day, because it’s ours to protect.
This is the 12th year the city of Savannah has hosted the Earth Day celebration.
WSAV is also a proud sponsor of the event.
It’s the city’s largest environmental outreach event of the year.
